Storage
Refrigerate chilled haggis promptly on arrival and follow the use-by date and storage directions on the pack. Macsween advises that its products can be frozen for up to six months; follow the pack’s instructions for the product supplied. If supplied frozen, keep frozen as directed. Defrost in the fridge before cooking unless the pack specifically allows cooking from frozen. Follow any shorter after-opening or after-defrosting limit on the label.
Cooking guidance
Follow the cooking method and timing on the pack for this exact size and format. A catering roll, small haggis and whole Chieftain can require different preparation, so do not use a smaller pack’s cooking time for a larger one. Check that the centre is piping hot throughout. Do not reheat after heating and cooling.
