Rainbow Trout Caviar 85g

This is from rainbow trout farmed in Ireland (on the Little Arrigle River - I'd buy it just for the name). The eggs are a little smaller than salmon eggs but most people wouldn't know the difference.
Tasted side by side, we thought this trout roe has a slightly lighter taste. Also, the eggs are more pristine, probably becuase the processing is much more sraightforward (since it travels only 200 miles whereas keta comes 4,000 miles from Alaska.)
A simple winner every time: a dollop of crème fraîche on a blini then a spoonful of trout caviar on top.
