The Lees Macaroon bar was the original confectionery bar manufactured by Lees in 1931. John J Lees created it when trying to produce a smooth chocolate fondant bar and since then the macaroon bar has become a Scottish icon. Over the years the range of confectionery bars has gradually expanded to include tablet, mint, fudge, chocolate coated fudge, jaffa. The latest addition to the confectionery range was the raspberry coconut ice bar launched in 2006.
